5 Comments for Obama Releases Official Long Form Birth Certificate

Mrs. Merrel

While I never actually jumped on the birther bandwagon, I was secretly hoping that it would be true so we could get Obama out sooner… thanks for keeping us all informed!

Ron

As a Marine, I believe you should be referring to your Commander in Chief by his title: “President Obama”. Did you call your Senior DI “Cheeks” or Staff Sergeant Cheeks?

Whether or not you agree with his policies, as a member of the Marine Corps, you should have the self discipline to give the man the respect due him based on his position in your chain of command. This is especially true in a public forum such as this.

At least, that’s the way we did it in the early 80s when I was an active duty Marine.

Ron,

It has nothing to do with self-discipline or respect. I simply don’t deal with formalities on this site and I’m not here to argue title semantics with my readers. The proper referral would actually be “Mr. President,” but being a Search Engine Optimizer, I wouldn’t get nearly the amount of traction or traffic as I do with the highly calculated keyword usage throughout this website. Omitting “Obama” in order to meet a formality would hurt my rankings and decrease revenue. It’s simply a matter of simplicity and technicalities – the same reason why I don’t reference every Governor, Senator, Mayor, etc. by their official title. I’m by no means doing it because I disagree with policies.

If I ever met the President, or were to write him a letter, then I would properly and professionally address him.

P.S. Glad to see Massachusetts moving into the “light” ;) Now, if you guys could just get rid of Kerry (who has shown great respect to our military – sarcasm), then your state would be heading in the right direction :)

Thank you for your service. Semper Fi!

Kevin… or should I sign using my military title? Eh.

Ron

Actually, “Mr. President” would be the proper title if you were speaking directly to him. Since you’re speaking about him (rather than to him), “President Obama” or “Mr. Obama” would probably be the proper way to refer to him. I wouldn’t omit “Obama”; I would add “President” or “Mr.” in front of it. I don’t think that would negatively affect your search engine rankings. But, as you said, the specifics of title semantics isn’t the purpose of the site.

I poked around your site for a bit. You’ve got some good information and it’s presented well. Keep up the good work.

Semper Fi.

Sheriff Joe says obama’s birth certificate is a fake, thank God I retired before the antichrist stole the presidency.
