I was at Occupy San Jose today. I’m there to to support “jobs for veterans” and to preserve veteran benefits. There is quitre a bit of discussion in the House and Senate regarding the scaling back of veteran’s benefits. I am also there to remind people that Wall Street knew what they wee doing, they knew they were selling worthless stocks (over valed home mortgages), they knew it and did it any way. They participated in and perpetuated fraud on a grand scale. Not one of those bank and/or brokerage house executives has been prosecuted. I am a capitalist and have worked in silicon valley for thirty five years. The point is, the system does not work when those managing it are lying and cheating at the expense of hundreds of thousands of Americans who have invested for their futures in the belief that those very people were working for them, they weren’t, they stole from those investors and then stole again from every American who pays the taxes that were used to bail them out.

I don’t want our current veteran men and women to experience the neglect that was the fate of my generation of Vietnam vets.

“Occupy” is not not a protest! Its’ a wake up, a reminder, that we have to speak out for what is right, we have to remind our neighbors, our community, our Representatives, Senators and Presidents that we are watching and we care!

which these people are doing and you have the audacity to write such rubbish i gather you are fox watching type of guy who has bought into there propaganda we live in troubling times in a closing society just germany was in world war 2 the police are to serve the people but instead they shoot tear gas at someones head and throw a flash bang but you will say i am liberal and that’s about all you can say…what they are protesting is the inequality that has been going on since the reagan years every thing became deregulated the money started getting funneled to the top 1% of incomers while the rest of the middle class stayed stagnant the in the 90′s we entered the wto which end tariffs which free trade is good right no its not when the country manipulates currency so it is cheap to make something a far ship it back and sale at the same price as before but cost a lot cheaper when you can pay someone to work a dollar a day when you had to pay a American 15 or so an hour so just about all the manufacturing is gone we are now a service based economy now deregulated some more so banks can merge and do what ever they pleas coming bigger and bigger they made billions off of bad mortgages they throw it on wall street so its sold to every one then the rates for the houses start going up the houses deprecate in value people start foreclosing like crazy the banks start taking losses so the banks go to the goverment saying we screwed up write a blank check to me and i promise i wont do anything wrong again and if you would send the bill to the tax payers while we keep the profits that my friend is bad socialism for the wealthy while the little guy who has no job because the top 1% made really good decisions by shipping are manufacturing jobs over seas cases other countries do not have a high cost of living etc….and the goverment which is suppose to protect what the peoples rights that’s just about it they don’t because if they did they would not use such force to try and keep these people quiet and try to force them out when they want change and to think that the 1% did it with out the rest of us is just plan madness who payed for the roads there goods are shipped on who are the people that buys or puts that item to be sold there to sell we things become lopsided bad things happen so next time you make a misinformed rant that you surely have no idea what your talking about other than the talking points from your good old boys at right wing fox news tell you so you can sell it to who ever whats to read about maybe next time you will do some research and use that gray matter in between your ears and come up with some you can really show facts….

that shows how the wealth is spread since the early eighties they have nice charts and numbers maybe that will help you get your feeble little mind to understand that they have a right to be mad and have a right to protest due to the Constitution visa vie the bill of rights that you swore to up hold but the goverment is protecting the very people who is harming this nation there is more could say but i grow tired now and shall retire myself for the evening

You’re not worth too much of my time, so…

1) I don’t watch Fox News. I don’t have cable.

2) I love the Constitution, and am 100% for protesting.

3) I am also 100% for following the law.

4) I am not bitter, and I don’t think that anyone owes me anything. I work hard for what I have and that means more to me than attacking successful people.

5) I work 3 jobs, around 60 hours a week, and I have paid for my own college along the way.

6) Our jobs and manufacturing shipped over seas because of the regulations and pay demands forced upon businesses by the unions. Why aren’t they included on the list to protest?

7) Anyone who thinks that Wall Street is the root of the problem is sadly mistaken. It goes much deeper than them.

medals don’t lie and neither do FITREPs or DD 214′s – would love to see his paperwork to back his claims…we’re just supposed to believe he served his country without any proof? Anyone else been reading about the “Constitutional” protection of “free speech” that would cover LYING about military service? Instead of punishing them, politicans are trying to reward them….is that what he “fought” for in Iraq or Afghan (seems like he couldn’t keep his story straight during his exercise of “free speech”)…
And to his claim that no one has guns there: in NYC I’m guessing there’s at least a portion of armed people – who the hell is he trying to kid????

A few points here…
- No Marine would walk around with ribbons on their blouse and their rank above their ribbons.
- No Marine is that retarded/disrespectful to the uniform, except for the shitbags.
- No Marine (who has any pride in their service, which he seems to claim) would walk around in their blouse and have it unbuttoned.

He is an idiot. The police are standing there. No one is being violent with anyone. Sure, violence broke out on earlier dates, but that is from Occupiers who refuse to listen to the Law Enforcement Officials who are doing their job.

As far as that one other “Marine” who got shot in the head with the tear gas canister, BOO-HOO. We looked him up. He got Ad-Sepped for Cocaine Usage, and started a FB Group saying “I hate the Effing Marine Corps”. He is a poor excuse of a Marine, and lost his title with the separation. He doesn’t deserve it, neither by his actions nor his attitude. I don’t want to see him die or suffer trauma of any sort, but he knew what he was getting into when he was with a violent MOB of OWS occupiers.
