My recruiter told me i was able to go active duty after i get into the reserves once i get my foot in the door, after my mos school. So now i am just going to wait until i can go for active duty instead, which will be September, or October, i don't want to be in reserves for 2 years and then have to go through my chain of command which won't be easy as you said in your post. This really helped me a lot and saved me some time, i just want the benefits of active duty, i don't want to have to burn through all the money i get paying for housing, health insurance, etc..
