Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally that was held in front of the Lincoln Memorial has been under fire from the left-wing liberal media. Liberals are stretching as far out as they can to find something to attack him over. The crowd that attended the rally has been described as old, white, racists, hate-mongers that are just mad that a black man is president. Unfortunately for these critics, the evidence shows a 100% opposite reflection of what really happened at the rally, which was a time of prayer, gratitude, thanks and honor. Besides the atmosphere of peace and prayer that surrounded the National Mall, the estimated 500,000 attendees did not have a single altercation, outbreak, fight or tussle. This is also the first recorded time in history where the attendees actually left the nearly one mile stretch of land in better shape than it was when they arrived; leaving nearly no trash or litter on the grounds.

See for yourself and you’ll be amazed at how the left is reporting what really happened at the Glenn Beck Rally. The truth hurts… that’s why they can’t allow you to be exposed to it.

What is the hiking like at Boot Camp and at Marine Combat Training (MCT)?

If you are planning on joining the Marine Corps, then you better get used to the idea of hiking everywhere you go. One of the Marine Corps foundational training methods is forced marches and conditioning hikes. What is forced marching and conditioning hiking? It is putting 150 lbs. of weight into a 90 lbs. pack, grabbing your rifle, your Kevlar and your flak jacket and doing a light run (which the Marine Corps calls hiking). Here’s some details on the hikes that will take place in Boot Camp and during Marine Combat Training.

Boot Camp Hiking
In Boot Camp you’ll hike approximately 120 miles in your 13 weeks of basic training. They will start off as 1.5 mile hikes and a small day pack (assault pack). They will gradually get more aggressive, increasing to a 3-mile, a 6-mile, a 7-mile and two 10-mile hikes with a full ILBE pack, rifle, Kevlar and flak jacket. This doesn’t include your daily hikes to class and during the Crucible. You’ll quickly pack the night before for your hikes, and the Drill Instructors will teach you how to pack, tape up your straps, prep your gear and how to stage your gear.

You’ll hike as a platoon, but the entire company will be executing the hikes as well. Be sure to keep your canteens full. You’ll need the water, especially in the summer.

You’ll be yelling the entire hike. I’m not talking about talking loud either. I’m talking about screaming until your veins pop out and you start sweating blood. This is part of the conditioning process. It helps strengthen your core, and your Corps.

Marine Combat Training
The hikes at MCT are not any better or worse than the Boot Camp hikes. You will only do 3 main hikes. You’ll do a scheduled 5k (3.1 miles), a 10k (6.2 miles) and a 17k (10 miles). You’ll also hike every day to either class, or the range which can be anywhere from 2 miles to 5 miles per day… every day while you’re there. You won’t PT much, but the hiking will keep you from getting fat, just expect to lose some muscle mass during Marine Combat Training.

Any questions?

An estimated 500,000 people showed up Saturday to attend the “Restoring Honor” rally that was organized by Glenn Beck. Despite the attacks that occurred from the liberal media leading up to the event, as well as the attacks after the event, nobody can discredit the fact that America has begun to wake up from a long nap. And America now faces an imperative decision. Turn back to God, or continue down the path of lavish destruction. Don’t confuse tangible facts with fear-mongering. That’s irresponsible of you. Face the truth. We’re in trouble if something doesn’t change.

About Glenn Beck

For the last few months Glenn Beck has been planning a “Restoring Honor” rally to be held in front of the Lincoln Memorial on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I had a dream” speech. For months people have down played it, called it a racist, right-wing, political event. Some have even called it a money scam. Ever since Glenn Beck has begun to dominate the political news media scene, pundits, politicians, TV hosts, comedians and liberals have been working to discredit him. They mastered chopping clips of his TV and radio show in every effort to make him out to be crazy. Unfortunately, he understands history and the Constitution more than most people, he has faith in God… and he has a deep-seated love and passion for America. What the liberal media really doesn’t want you to know… is that America stands behind the ideas that Beck is fighting for. These facts were proven on Saturday, as hundreds of thousands of Americans showed up to show their support.

When a person or organization works as hard as “these people” have done to discredit a single individual, it is usually because they are afraid of the truth setting people free. I’m in no way comparing Glenn Beck to Jesus, but tactics that people used to discredit Jesus were very similar. If you can discredit someone, then you can remove their trustworthiness and minimize the number of people they have the opportunity to impact. It is also similar to how slaves were deceived. The North was trying to come down and fight to free the slaves, but the slave owners discredited the very people who wanted to set the slaves free. The slave owners told them that if the North got to them, they would kill them, and that the owners were just trying to protect them. The slaves believed it and became fearful of the North… the very people who were trying to free them.

Restoring Honor | 8/28/2010

Though this rally was initially passed off as a political rally, it was evident early on that it would be heading in a new direction. America needs God again. Everything else was just in support of that thought; that belief.

I’m not hear to argue if God does or doesn’t exists. I believe that He does. If you don’t, then you may be wasting your time reading this, though I would still encourage you to do so.

The Fight To Remove God

For years politicians, people, groups, organizations and ideas have worked overtime to remove and exclude God from America. You can see some examples here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. Just to name a few. It started in schools with the fight to remove prayer from schools. It then moved into the political system and into the court rooms. Now the movement to remove God from America has even considered putting restrictions on what churches can and can’t say, what individuals may display on their clothing in certain places, what you can put in your yard, and what private schools are allowed to teach. We’ve put restrictions on businesses, endorsed evolution as fact and deceivingly deflated the story of creation. Each step along the way, the fight to remove God moves inches and inches closer to transforming our nation’s foundation.

The further we have moved away from God as a country, the worse things have gotten, yet we stand around scratching our heads as to why. Crime has risen, violence and disease has increased, our political system is failing, our economy is being destroyed and our international relationships have begun to meltdown. Despite all of this being on the rise, we continue to look to our president for answers. We continue to try and come up with man-made ideas, bureaucracy, paperwork and diplomacy as the answer.

God is the answer.

We have worked hard to discredit God, because doing so would mean that man is the ultimate power, and morality would have no relationship with our faith. The conservative argument would be lost. As long as the debate of God exists, there will be a road block for liberals to have free reign.

America has tried it all. We have the smartest economist in the world, the brightest military minds, the best foreign policy makers, the best of everything, yet we have failed at finding the answers that we now seek as a country.

What will it take for us to try the one thing that has guided us this many centuries as a country already… the One thing that has proven to work, even though we have ignored it. When will we learn that God is the answer?

How many people were at the Glenn Beck Restoring Honor rally?
The low-ball estimate for attendees is 300,000, with a high estimate being around 650,000. Of course, the drive-by media is reporting only 87,000. This couldn’t be more laughable. One look at the photos from the event clearly show the liberal media’s blatant lies about the event. They’re exposing themselves more every day. There is no way to get an exact calculation. Photos of the Beck event clearly show a big crowd. The weather was great – whatever the exact figure, there were a lot of people there. The area along the Reflecting Pool stretching out from the Lincoln Memorial was packed. Groups were gathered under trees far on either side. Large conglomerations of folks gathered all the way to the Washington Monument. The crowd was big enough to disrupt Washington’s subway system, with service from at least 12 stops disrupted due to long lines for entry.

This isn’t a detailed post, but should provide you with the information and knowledge that you need to start developing your own ideas, as well as a survival situation plan of action.

Conspiracy Nut Bag Fear Monger?

I’m not a conspiracy theorist, a nut bag, a fear-monger, or a crazy loon. I am, however, prepared. Prepared for what, you might ask? Just about anything. Sure, I have faith in God for his provision and protection, but He also gave me common sense and the tools I need to turn my faith into works (James 2:20). To trust in God for something that you aren’t willing to put effort towards is useless.

My Survival Bag

In my home, I personally have several survival bags, first-aid kits, self-defense items, etc. My hopes are that they will never need to be used, but I believe that preparation and knowledge are essential in these times, especially when there is a family to protect. Today I’ll be discussing my emergency survival bag, or simply put, my “go bag.”

Below are a few items that are necessary in an emergency survival bag. One of the main items that this photo does not include is my first-aid kit.

A Few Of My Necessary Emergency/Survival Bag Items

Essential Survival Items List:

At the end of the day, a knowledgeable person can easily survive with these items alone.
Survival Knife
Multi-Tool
Fire Starter or Other Fire-Starting Equipment

Important Survival Items:

First-Aid Kit
Snake-Bite Kit
Meal Ready To Eat (MRE)
Flashlight
Batteries
Radio & Walkie Talkies
Survival Cord or Rope
Pistol & Ammo
Rifle & Ammo

A Good Survival Knife

There are a few main items that are unarguably the most important. The first being a good, solid, knife. Now, when we think survival knife, Rambo is probably the first thing that comes to mind. We all remember his green-handled, razor sharp knife that toted around a full tool box in the handle that included a compass and hammer butt screw on cap. Unfortunately, a knife built like that is a poor performer when used as a real tool.

Rambo First Blood

The first quality of a good survival knife is that it be full-tang. Full tang means that the blade and handle are a solid one-piece of steel. This will typically have some type of covering of the handle. This type of design provides more strength, allows for prying and hammering, and generally can be used with less caution. Rat-tail tang and screw-top are mainly for show. They connect to the handle using screws, welding or rivets. The more moving parts, the easier it tends to break. The same can be said with just about anything.

My overall favorite survival knife that I own is my Gerber ASEK. It is superior in strength, overall quality, and practicality. It also welds a wide range of uses, and has been tested by several private industries to determine its value. The Gerber ASEK is a full-tang knife. Former military man, Jeff Freeman led the charge to engineer this fearless 10″ survival knife.

Gerber ASEK Survival Knife

This knife is as adaptable as the personnel who carry it. Use it to cut through the skin of a fuselage. Or sever a seat belt. Or egress through the Plexiglas of a chopper. Plus, the LMF II does a slick job cutting firewood and building shelter.

The over-molded handle successfully limits blistering. There is complete separation between the tang and butt cap, so the knife absorbs the shocks from hammering and prevents the shocks of electricity. Smartly situated grooves and lashing holes let the LMF II convert to a spear. The low-profile sheath facilitates movement, limits noise, works for parachuting, and attaches to a belt or Molle vest. The patented, integrated sharpener means edge retention in the field.

Meals Ready To Eat (MRE)

Now, if you have access to Meals Ready To Eat, it can never hurt to have a few on stand-by. They not only offer a full 2,000 calorie meal in every package, but they also provide matches, cleaning towel, utensils, and more. One of the key essentials in the new MRE, especially in cold weather, is the chemical heater. This can be activated and placed inside of clothing to help keep your core warm.

Meal Ready To Eat (MRE)

What About Guns?

If you are a responsible, law-abiding citizen who has taken the time to learn the safety and proper uses of a firearm, then you have the responsibility to own one. I’m sure my blog is being flagged as I type. I don’t care. In a survival situation, there are several uses for a gun. The first one being morale and peace of mind. Carrying a gun can really give you the morale you might need to keep going. A gun also provides you with protection from big-game wildlife… which may lead to an opportunity for a nice meal

Of course, a gun is no good without the ammo. Have that ready as well.

Survival Cord

Survival cord is probably at the top of my most wanted list. The uses of cord are boundless, and can assist in the building of a shelter, fixing equipment, tracing trails, setting traps and making clothing. You can use it to make a spear, tie a shoe or built a boat.

Other Items

Radios are good if you get lost with people. You can use the radios to safely split up into groups. Though this is not recommended, if it becomes necessary, you will have a source of communication. The binoculars may only be handy in certain geographical locations, but may be used to spot boats, other people, wildlife, smoke, danger, food, etc.

Survival Knives I Suggest (Decently Priced)

Gerber ASEK
Gerber Trident
Black Hawk Night Edge
CRKT Ultima
Cold Steel Hunter Series
Buck Nighthawk
SOG Seal Knife
Rough Use Knife (made by Cheaper Than Dirt)

Unfortunately, the original Marine Corps Ka-Bar knife is not as well made as you would think. Ka-Bars look nice and have a good reputation, but tests have shown them to be a weaker competitor to a lot of other knives. However, the new Ontario OKC3S USMC knife has taken the Ka-Bar designed and turned it into a worthy adversary.

In case you haven’t already heard, Bradley Manning, an Army Private that was most recently deployed to Iraq, has leaked over 90,000 pages of classified Afghanistan war documents and materials to a website dedicated to protesting wars. That website is Wikileaks. Let’s take a look at why Army Analyst Bradley Manning deserves nothing short of the death penalty due to the deaths he has caused and new dangers that now exist for innocent Afghan families.

Who Is Private Bradley Manning?
Private First Class Bradley E. Manning (born 1987) is a United States Army soldier who has been arrested and charged with the unauthorized use and disclosure of U.S. classified information.

Manning was an intelligence analyst assigned to a support battalion with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Contingency Operating Station Hammer, Iraq, when he was arrested by agents of the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command acting on information received from federal authorities provided by an informant, Adrian Lamo, in whom Manning had previously confided. Lamo, a journalist and former computer hacker, stated he came forward as an act of conscience. Manning allegedly told him via instant messaging that he had leaked the “Collateral Murder” video of the July 12, 2007, Baghdad airstrike, in addition to a video of the Granai airstrike and around 260,000 diplomatic cables, to the whistleblower website Wikileaks.

On July 5, 2010, Manning was charged under the Uniform Code of Military Justice with violations of Article 92 and Article 134, for “transferring classified data onto his personal computer and adding unauthorized software to a classified computer system,” and “communicating, transmitting and delivering national defense information to an unauthorized source”. The maximum possible prison sentence for the charges is 52 years. An Army spokesman stated that an Article 32 hearing, similar to a grand jury, would be held to determine whether or not there was enough evidence to proceed to a court-martial.[1]

Private Manning held a minimum of a Secret Security Clearance, which the Department of Defense spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to filter him through the screening process. He has had a thorough background check, state and federal background checks, investigations and interviews. Most importantly, he has sworn an oath to defend our constitution and our country against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. For anyone that has or is currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, you understand what that means.

Due to Bradley’s role as an Analyst in the Army, he was granted a security clearance in order to gain access to classified materials. By definition, his clearance gave him access to information whose unauthorized disclosure could result in exceptionally grave danger to the nation. Even if he were to release classified materials to another military member with an equal clearance, it is still considered a breach in security. Every classified document has specific orders as to who can and can’t view its materials.

Who is WikiLeaks?
WikiLeaks is a foreign source operating out of Australia, which goes by the name of WikiLeaks. It is a website dedicated to spotlighting war crimes and classified government documents in efforts to turn more people against war. Simply speaking, if 100 terrorist were killed in a gun fight and one civilian was killed in the crossfire, WikiLeaks would tell you about that one civilian. You wouldn’t hear a word about the other 100. You can visit WikiLeaks here, or contact them here.

What Bradley Manning Did
Private Manning gained access to over 90,000 pages of classified materials, and leaked it to WikiLeaks. The documents included sensitive materials such as Afghan civilian informant names, military installation locations, meeting locations, undercover operations, top secret missions, classified intelligence documents, intelligence video materials, and military strategies used during the war.

After the Afghanistan war documents were retrieved by WikiLeaks, they were then posted online for the world to see. The world that had the opportunity to view these documents included the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, Jihad, and terrorist groups alike.

The Leak Of Death
WikiLeaks claims they release information like this in order to save civilians lives and protect innocent people. This leak has done the complete opposite. Since the release of these documents, several innocent Afghanistan informants and their families have been confirmed murdered. Not only are more innocent lives being lost, but the Afghans have lost all confidence in American forces to be able to keep them safe for providing information to us. In case you didn’t know, information is what has gotten us this far in the fight against terror.

Not only have we lost informants to death and fear, we’re now having to spend thousands of dollars to move and protect the families of current and recent informants that may still be alive. This is just the beginning as to why this is a treasonable offense. We could face repercussions decades down the road as the documents will continue to provide a first-hand look into our military operations in Afghanistan.

Treason
Since the beginning of established military and governments, treason has been a crime punishable by death. Typically no questions asked once proven guilty. Treason is defined as a violation of allegiance to one’s sovereign or to one’s state, a breach of faith and confidence entrusted by one’s government and the betrayal of the allegiance that a person owes his sovereign or his country.

By definition, Bradley Manning has committed a blatant act of treason in its simplest form. Bradley Manning has broken his personal oath of enlistment that he spoke, as he raised his right hand and swore to defend his country. He has trampled his integrity into the ground and is officially an enemy of the state.

People Defending & Supporting Bradley Manning
What really makes me sick are the few people that are defending and supporting Bradley Manning. You can see here some videos of people speaking out against his arrest. Listen, he wasn’t a civilian trying to improve civil rights, or a politician fighting during a campaign. He isn’t a cooperate worker competing with another company, and he sure isn’t a hero. He made a promise, an oath, to defend America and obey his Commander in Chief regardless of his political beliefs or personal opinions. There is nothing that excuses his behavior or justifies his actions. He committed treason pure and simple. He broke every military code entrusted upon those who serve our great country and work to keep it safe. He is a traitor to his fellow soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen. He is a disgrace.

Why He should Be Put To Death
Unfortunately, he’s probably not the only military service member who has the itch to release information. There are more out there. Sentencing him to anything short of death for the crime of treason, will only empower others who wish to carry out his same acts of treachery. If an example has ever needed to be made in our military, it is now. His actions have caused more innocent deaths, by ousting civilian Afghan families who have helped America in their fight against terror. The same innocent civilians that we fight to protect are now in more danger due to his selfish, despicable actions.

He has dishonored his name, his service, his brothers and sisters in arms, his family, his friends and his country.

Here is a visual look into Marine Corps Boot Camp. Of course, all of the “fun stuff” happens when the cameras aren’t rolling, but even this soft, watered down look into our basic training will give you some perspective. It’s easy to see why the United States Marine Corps is the most elite military branch in the world. I’ve posted a video of Army basic training receiving too at the bottom of this page. Notice the difference.

What should I bring to Marine Combat Training (MCT)? Even though Marines get lists, directions and instructions several times on what to bring to MCT, I still receive questions on this topic very often. Below is a detailed list of items, issued gear and documents that you’ll need when you head to MCT after your 10 Boot-Leave. You’ll also find travel details, as well as a list of things to do and things not to do for your arrival at Marine Combat Training (MCT). Most importantly, don’t do anything stupid on your 10-day boot leave. Stay as far away from trouble as possible.

What To and Not To Do

What NOT To DO:
DO NOT bring your computer, or any other personal communication device.
DO NOT bring your privately owned vehicle (POV), you are not authorized to have a vehicle while at MCT or ITB.
DO NOT bring knives or other personal weapons.
DO NOT bring your spouse or children; billeting is not available to Marines under instruction/training.
DO NOT spend all of your money when you are home on leave.
DO NOT gives any uniform items away. You must report in with your complete uniform issue. Missing items, lost or unserviceable must be replaced. You pay for replacements.
DO NOT hang out in town, if arriving early in Jacksonville, NC. There are people who make a living by taking advantage of your ignorance of the area.
DO NOT get a Hotel room in town. You can check into SOI 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
DO NOT lose your original orders! Neither SOI nor your MOS school is your first duty station. You will need your original orders when you get to your first duty station to settle your travel claim and get reimbursed.
DO report in the Service “A” uniform.
DO report in early, if desired.

What TO Do:
DO bring your cell phone and charger to MCT. There’s no promises, but you may have a chance to use it during your 29 days of training.
DO, if flying, travel in uniform and bring 2 complete sets of camouflage uniforms in your carry-on bag! Luggage routinely gets misplaced during transit; if you arrive without sufficient uniform items and your records, you will not be able to begin training as scheduled. Include in your carry-on bag: 2 sets of utilities, to include: rank insignia (if any), combat boots, green T-shirt, matching camouflage covers, Tan Belt, hygiene kit, health & dental records, Service Record Book, ID Card, ID tags, and orders with all endorsements (including PRASP assignment).
DO, if married, bring your original marriage certificate and your spouse¡¦s original birth certificate, and a copy of their social security card. If you have children, bring their original birth certificates and copies of their social security cards. With the exception of the social security cards, be sure you have the originals, as they will enable you to start the allowances you rate by having dependents, (BAH, FSA, issue ID Card, etc.)
DO bring a complete Direct Deposit Start Up Form (SF-1009A), if you are planning to change financial institutions.
DO report with your entire uniform issue that you received while at MCRD Parris Island.
DO bring your Guidebook for Marines, General Military Subjects, Series Taught Classes and Field Training Unit Student Handouts; you will need these references during training.
DO continue to PT while at home, keep in shape, stay off the couch, and keep away from junk food, alcohol, and smoking. You will hike over 30 kilometers, participate in regular PT programs, and perform other highly strenuous activities while training at SOI.
DO bring at least 2 sets of appropriate civilian attire.
You can bring a cell phone but be aware that you cannot use your cell phone during training periods and while in the field. Secure your cell phone, with personal gear, prior to departing for field training.

Since completing my initial training and schools in the United States Marine Corps, I have been in the market for a new civilian career in Columbus, GA. This week I developed an online resume and portfolio in order provide potential employers with easy access to my personal resume, work history, education, skills and professional experiences.

My objective is to find a career that will allow me the opportunity to utilize my management experience in marketing, website design and graphic design, as well as professional skills obtained during my training at the Navy and Marine Corps School of Intelligence.

I’m seeking to work for a company that values a strong work ethic, honesty and most importantly, expects results. These terms have defined my 8-year work history, and I am confident that speaking with previous employers, as well as professional and personal references, will demonstrate these facts.

www.KevinsResume.com

I look forward to working soon

Please leave your Marine Corps Family Day and Graduation experiences in the comments below.

United States Marine Corps Graduation is by far the best training day at Marine Corps Boot Camp. Sure, you get to see family for the first time, dress nice and be presented in front of tens of thousands of people, but more importantly, you get to GET OFF OF THE ISLAND. In all honestly, that’s where every new Marine’s mind is at. They’re probably hungry too Below are some tips.

Marine Corps Boot Camp Graduation Final Pass Marching

#1 Make hotel reservations early. Parris Island is located near Beaufort, SC. You can reserve a hotel here. Beaufort, SC is already plugged into the search tool. Reserve away! If you’re looking for something a little fancier, then stay at the Ooh-rah Rental Home.

#2 You’ll want to arrive early so that you can get the best seat. Try to get there at least an hour before it starts. Your family should have received a package and invitation with the graduation dates and times. Graduation typically starts at 0800 (8am).

#3 Know which platoon your Marine is in. Find their section, and dig in. If it’s cold, definitely bring blankets or dress warm. If it’s hot, come naked and bring an ice cooler. Okay, so don’t come naked, but dress accordingly. The last thing you’ll want to do is distract your Marine’s platoon during a march (whether good or bad).

#4 Make a large sign from poster board. There will more people there than your Marine will be able to sort through, so having a big sign with his name on it will help him locate you during the ceremony, which will allow him to know exactly where to go once the ceremony is over. A sign should also be made for Family Day, so that your Marine can locate you during the Motivational Run and during the Family Day liberty call ceremony.

#5 Bring a camera. Do I really need to explain this?

#6 Make your Marine get a picture with his Drill Instructors, even if they don’t want to. Who doesn’t want pictures of the men responsible for nearly destroying their soul for 3 months? He’ll laugh at them 10 years later and be glad that the photos were taken.

#7 Bring your Marine’s favorite snacks. He’ll be hungry after 3 months of nearly being starved to death. He’ll need them for the trip home too

#8 DO NOT run out onto the parade deck until the ceremony is over. Marines learn fast that the parade deck is special. It is somewhat of a “holy ground” in the Marine Corps. This isn’t the place for funny antics or streaking. Be respectful of the Marines that have come and gone on those grounds. Save that for the baseball field.

#9 Visit the Marine Corps Museum. If you don’t get a chance to visit the Marine Corps Museum on Parris Island during Family Day, then head over there after graduation. Chances are that you won’t be on Parris Island very often during your Marine’s career. Take advantage of it while you’re there, and learn the complete visual history of the United States Marine Corps.

#10 Don’t let your Marine drive home! Even if they beg you, do them a favor and say “no.” Marines have died because they wanted to drive home from graduation. It’s not worth it. Your Marine might feel weird being in a vehicle on the highway for the first time in 3 months. I felt like every car was going to hit me. It only took a day or so to adjust.

After The Marine Corps Graduation Ceremony

1. Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. -Benjamin Franklin

2. A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government. -George Washington

3. I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

4. The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. -Thomas Jefferson

5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him ‘Why do you carry a 45?’ The Ranger responded, ‘Because they don’t make a 46.’

6. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm ‘Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?’ ‘No Ma’am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my shotgun.’

7. I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did. She said ‘Well I certainly hope it isn’t loaded!’ To which I said, of course it is loaded, it can’t work without bullets!’ She then asked, ‘Are you that afraid of someone evil coming into your house?’ My reply was, “No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too”.

8. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes…. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. -Thomas Jefferson (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria)

9. Death is a billion-dollar business. They can’t even pass a law where it takes seven days to get a gun. Why don’t you have to go through the same kind of screening you do to get a driver’s license? It’s totally insane.

10. Gun bans disarm victims, putting them at the mercy of murderers or terrorists who think nothing of breaking the gun laws.

11. Gun control means being able to hit your target. If I have a ‘hot button’ issue, this is definitely it. Don’t even think about taking my guns. My rights are not negotiable, and I am totally unwilling to compromise when it comes to the Second Amendment.

12. To disarm the people is the most effectual way to enslave them. -George Mason

13. I have a very strict gun control policy: if there’s a gun around, I want to be in control of it. -Clint Eastwood

14. I have a love interest in every one of my films – a gun. -Arnold Schwarzenegger

15. It’s not a gun control problem; it’s a cultural control problem.

16. It’s better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

17. A free people ought to be armed. -George Washington

18. To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them. -Richard Henry Lee

19. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his house, his possessions are safe. -Luke 11:21

20. Jesus said, ‘But now whoever has a purse or a bag, must take it and whoever does not have a sword must sell his cloak and buy one. -Luke 22:36

21. When the law disallows both the means and moral authority to defend one’s self and property, crime and violence fill the void between common sense and the hoped for utopia. -JD Filkins

22. A shoot-out is better than a massacre! -David M. Bennett

23. The gun control extremist has at least two things in common with the Islamic extremist. He has a willingness to die for his fundamental beliefs. And he has the sanctimony to demand that others go with him. -Dr. Mike Adams

24. I’d much rather go to my grave never needing my gun, than go there wishing I had it. -Phil Dalmolin

25. Sooner or later we all must die. Warriors choose to do so on their feet, standing between their enemies and those they hold dear. With a weapon in their hands. Cowards choose to do so on their bellies. Unarmed. -Dave Gell
